Thule cross bars, will 51 inch bars work?

Hello to all and a Happy New Year!

I'm a new owner of a 2013 Mazda Cx-9 Touring Edition. Now I'm starting to make it my own and first up are crossbars for the roof rack. I've always used Thule racks and I have a set of square bars that are 51 inches long. When I look up the fit kit for the CX-9 it comes with 58 inch bars.

Does anyone have the Thule square bars on their CX-9 and do they think the 51 inch bars will fit or will they be too short?

<span style="text-decoration: line-through;">The 50" (I don't think there are 51") bars won't fit. I'm almost certain that I have Thule square bars at 58", and there's only about 1" of overhang on each side . . . just enough for the end cap to slide on.</span>

So I stand corrected. I, in fact, have the 51" bars, so they fit . . . albeit barely.

Thanks for the information. Turns out my wife's Honda Element has 58" bars on it but the 50" bars will fit hers so I'll be doing a swap.
