Hi, I have a 2012 Skyactiv hatch with the nice looking 16" twist wheels. I want to run autocross again and the stock wheels are pretty light, strong and paid for. I actually switched to a 215/50/16 Kumho Ecsta ASX and I would suggest this move to anyone. The car looks better (less of a donut tire) and it handles considerably better.
I want to run a stock class and don't feel the need to spring for wheels BUT I would like to get rid of the car's hippo-on-rollerskates look... QUESTION: Is there a spacer I could use to get less offset??? If so, what are the negative effects of this???
Any aftermarket wheel I would buy would have less offset. VW guys are all about spacers but I never see spacers for other cars. Please note I am not going for any kind of "stance" look. Functional with a slightly better look is the goal.
THANKS for the input.
