Minor issues with 2012 Sport manual - stick not popping up after REV, fuel spills

Recently, we've been noticing that the shift lever does not pop back up after changing out of reverse. You need to bang the stick side to side a bit to get it to pop back up.

Second issue is that when filling up, even when topping up slowly, the fuel will overflow and spill out. The nozzle is always fully inserted, yet we get spills.

Anyone else dealing with these 2 issues and/or have a solution?

I'll be taking it on for the 60K service in a few months and would like a solution in-hand before I do.

Have an auto, so can't help you on that one, but my 2012 5 Sport also had fuel overflowing in the first six months I had it. I took it in and it was diagnosed as a faulty fuel return valve and replaced under my 3y/36k warranty. I wager you have the same problem.

unscrew Shift Knob take apart the frame and put inside some grease and no more problem.
