Pulling tranny

So I'm getting ready for my trans swap, about to pull the one in the car this week..

When I had done the complete overhaul ~2 years ago, everything was out of the car and the transmission was an easy job. My question is simple: is it necessary to pull the engine? Shouldn't need to eh?

Just pop out axels, jack up trans a tad, take off mount and remove all bolts? Easy yeah?

Let me know if I'm missing something?

Pull half shaft. Drop the control arm or take it all out. Takeout charge pipes,air intake battery etc. take off the the brace for the tranny mount and cross brace and she should slide right out from the bottom. Did mine just the other day man. If you're careful should only take a couple hours. Good luck!

Don't even need to mess with the control arm or subframe, it will drop out.

Good to know! Should be as easy as my subaru transmission! I'm planning on being done with the clutch replacement in a day which I think it is very possible.
