Alarm Sensitivity.

Hey guys,

I'm actually in the process of selling the P5, she's been good to me but I needed a size upgrade.

Before I let people start seeing it I'm trying to fix the "little" things (leaky valve cover, noisy front end links, etc).

My alarm goes off when I rev my motorcycles within 20 feet of it, wind sometimes sets it off, too.

I know there's rust issues and some of my grounds are pretty rusty, could that have anything to do with it? Any way to "unsensitize" the alarm?

..From an old thread:
Yes you can adjust the sensitivity of the alarm. Its a small black box with a white turn knob on the side of it. Its located under the steering colum... Get up under the steering wheel and have a look around. It should be up there just hanging near the factory alarm main unit. You will notice if you touch it or hit it the red light will blink... Just adjust the knob accordingly to what sensitivity you want.
