Need Some Help Choosing Tires

Any help I could get would be appreciated. My CX-5 is going to need some new tires soon, and I was considering going the Tire Rack route so I could get more choice in the tire selection. I've got 225/55/R19's currently, the original Toyos I'm assuming.

The ride is very noisy and "rigid", so my new tires I'm looking for more comfort if available. My wife puts a lot of miles on it so the smoother the ride the better.

Are you willing to commit to new (smaller) wheels? Because if you're looking to substantially improve the ride with new tires, you're pissing up a rope.

I would look to TireRack. TR gives you a guide which lets you pick which features are most important to you. Doing that will provide you with a couple of tires that meet your criteria. ed

The Pirellis in the link below are known for their smooth, quiet ride and they are better in snow than most all seasons. We have a set on our Golf and are very satisfied.
