My 2002.5 P5 AwesomeSauce build thread

What do you suggest I do to further test the solenoid?

Manually energize it and see if it closes/opens. If it does, the solenoid is fine, if not, you've found the problem.

What I meant earlier is that there is always a positive 12v signal with the key on, but the ground is switched. Is there ground present at the solenoid with it commanded on?

Got ya. Have to wait till the weekend to test the solenoid and the circuit. Currently at school. Will let you know

Okay, the solenoid is fine. It opens and closes when connected to a 12V source.

Just to make thing go smoother, how would I go about seeing if there is ground at the solenoid. Connect positive to battery and ground to solenoid?

Not sure what else there is to be checked. The only thing out of spec is the Ohm reading for the sensor.

Anyways, installed an STI lip onto the MSP lip.
Deleted the charcoal canister.
Installed a slim fan in front of the condenser and somehow made my horn go bad(I now have A/C again :D)
Hid my HID ballast in the fender.
Zip-tied some vacuum line and wires out of the way.
Got another driver side mirror.
Ordered another bumper cover.

Wow, that looks awesome. Debadged hatch looks great. What kind/size of wheels are you going with? Black headlights? Although, I kinda like the chrome.

Thanks man! No badges at all so people are definitely gonna be confused trying to figure out what type of car it is :D I would like to get some 17x9 Hamann PG1 wheels. Would have to get them imported to the US from japan. Black retrofitted sedan headlights are gonna be coming after the exhaust and hopefully JDM taillights after that.

Pg1's would be sick, and I've never seen any protgs running them. I've always preferred the look of P5 headlights over sedan headlights though.

Tell me about it, I'll be the first to have those type of wheels on a P5. I find the P5 headlights look a little funny retrofitted lol. Gonna try and get an exhasut made tomorrow so that'll be something to look forward to. Gonna be picking up a pope DP later on

Got my hydra gauge rings installed! Love the quality of them. More hydra products coming in the future.

Had an exhaust made from the stock "S" and "J" pipe back. 3" with no muffler/cat/resonator. Gonna be getting a pope downpipe later on to complete the exhaust. Having some sedan headlights retrofitted by Epic Lighting and after that will be getting an new alarm. Once all that is done, gonna start saving for a forged motor from Signature Products. I'd rather someone who knows what they're doing assemble the short block rather than me assemble it incorrectly and end up spending more money.

Sounds fantastic man. You will love the addition of the Pope dp.

Updated OP with new pictures! Just ordered a new S204 lip and a Hydra font bumper SAP kit. Might be getting my hands on some JDM tails aswell.

Time for some updates!

Finally got my hands on a Hydra bumper SAP kit as well as a light weight crank pulley. Not gonna be putting the pulley on till I get a new motor.

Also got my retrofit sedan headlights but the housing and lens were in pretty poor shape so I bought new TYC housing from rockauto. Swapped over the "internals" of the old headlight to the new ones and I basically have a brand new headlight!

Put on a new STI lip as my old cracked. The new one sits way better on the MSP lip. Also have the headlights installed in this pic but need to wait for the sun to go down more so I can align them.

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/127689396@N02/26890349591/in/datetaken/" title="Lip"><img src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7405/26890349591_26ef972f0d_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="Lip"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Some more pics of the headlights

Thanks man! Really annoying to swap everything over to the new housings but glad I took my time with it. Now I need to stop spending $$ and get a new motor already. Mine is burning oil like a true champ lol
