Built in DVD doesnt have sound on the RSES audio setting.

Hi there, my mounted dvd player seems to work fine picture wise but when I choose the Rear Seat Entertainment System (RSES) audio setting on the stereo, there is no sound. Does anyone know why this may be or if there is a simple fix or something I am not doing. There doesnt seem to be any settings I can play with on the remote. Please get back to me if you possibly have an idea as to what can be done.
