My protege starts fine most the time. When it does act up there is no clicking just doesn't engage the starter. I was going to get a new starter but am thinking it something in the ignition. Any tips would be appreciated.
It starts every time it cranks. Just replaced the IM with removed vtcs and checked/cleaned all the injectors. I pulled the fuel pump and put a new screen filter on it. Fuel pressure is good. Thanks for the reply Illa. Nice car
Sounds like it could be the neutral safety switch. Mine has a very similar issue, and I just lift off of the clutch, press it again, and it starts every time.
