Solved my p0300 and p072, was chasing a vacuum leak and worried by white odorless exhaust smoke. Dipstick looked fine but the oil cap actually had some milk shake.

Had the head gasket fixed 20,000 miles ago.

I like the car. I think it would be better to replace the engine vs another hopeful engine repair.

Any recommended sources for replacing the engine? I will have a shop do it. Need a warranty on the engine too.

Everything else on the car is fine.

Personally I would find an engine locally. So many of these cars that you can find plenty of these engines for cheap. I saw them sell here for as low as $150. Right now there is one selling for $300 locally and the guy will prove conpression and running condition.

Since you need a warranty you can look for JDM importers locally and get a more powerful engine while you are at it.

I was under the impression that JDM motors had slight differences and needed some different stuff.
