did i install the alternator wrong?

01 protege 1.6l change a alt on it and after install the belt keeps making a noise and still had same issue as before how do fix what thoght was fix not was after it start it but dud not ajust right?

did you replace the belt? Did you properly tension the belt?

Loose belt?

A loose or worn belt will not allow the alt to function properly.

How do check if the belt is lose and how do ajust tje alt to make it work

Hate to tell ya that but if you have to ask that question, there is no way you got it installed right.

Do some searching on youtube on how to do that. Also look on Google. I just don't have the time to type all that up.

That's great news. Did it fix it?

Was the belt shot after driving around loose for a while

Ya the first the the belt was to tight on the alt and end up change the power steering belt too as well it was easy to change after he show me how it done
