Where the rear AC controls are mounted to? if so, it clips on, open the center console, and pull gently from the edge of the bezel. I say pull gently because you dont want to pull so hard that when it comes off you rip the connectors off of the rear ac controls.
If you don't have a set already, I highly recommend a trim removal set of tools. You can get them individually for the size you're looking for or as a set. They are awesome in that you have much less risk of marring the interior (no scratch) and they have different shapes for different clips.

I use them for everything on the car that needs some prying force. So much safer than screw drivers (no more scratches from them skipping across the surface).
As a specific answer to your question, I would guess it's clipped on, as Mazda seems to clip everything. However, if it doesn't budge, don't force it. There could be a couple screws hiding in there.
