I have a 1995 Mazda Protg DX with about 189,xxx miles on 1.5 liter Z5. Purchased it, needed everything. Almost got all problems gone. Almost...
Idle is out of spec. No codes. When diagnostics jumped... can set the idle screw. When jumper wire is back out... idle either drops too low or raises too high, always.
Thinking outside the box now, I know throttle cable is a little loose, perhaps the idle switch is wore or out output voltage of ecu range as result (?)
Does anybody know where a new idle switch (idle stop solenoid) could be found (?)
Or perhaps someone has a similar experience to share and what they did.
