Hey Guys! My car is in the shop (2002 Protege5) with a bad right, front bearing and hub assembly. When they removed the bearing they determined that the bearing was installed incorrectly by the last mechanic and damaged the hub. They are saying that the hub assembly kit is over $220. So, I called Advance Auto and found out (supposedly) that the 4-wheel disc brake model has a $200 hub while the front-disc brake only hubs are $40 (what the heck!).
Can you please confirm this? This sounds very odd to me and I can't confirm. Until I figure this out I'm without a car. Thanks for your help!
