HELP!!! Transmission is shifting on its own

Hey Guys!
I have a 2003 protege 5 with an automatic transmission. The speedometer started spazing out about a week ago and it's causing the ttransmission to up shift and downshift. I replaced the Vehicle speed sensor and I still have no luck. Any help would be great. Thanks!!
