I have a 2013 CX5 touring and recently began having issues with the fuel door release lever.
I'm thinking it's corrosion related due to road salt in the winter but I'm not sure. I have weathertech mats but some snow/slush et al still manages to get everywhere despite having good all weather mats.
For a while the lever would return to the normal position and the fuel door would latch just fine if i simply pressed the lever down, however now it will not latch at all. I have to go to the dealership soon for an oil change and can have them look at this but if it's a simple fix I'll just tackle it myself.
Has anyone else had this issue and if so what did you do to correct it and prevent a reoccurence?
