smoke issue

ok im just lookin on some imput on this... i will drive the car one day and the next morning at start up it will puff out blue smoke just for like 5 seconds then it goes away and its only at start up the next day after driving it... what do you guys think

Valve seals are worn.

Until it gets bad - I would not worry about it.

im using 10 30 now... using a little heavier work any better for this?

10/40 might but this car is not designed for it, maybe switch to a high mileage oil and see if it helps seal it up, as above it sounds like valve seals are worn slightly

valve seals rather easy to do? or are they a pain

Im afraid it's rather in depth.
You either gotta fill the cylinders with rope or compressed air to keep the valves from falling in, or else you have to pull the head. And either way you gotta pull the cams and redo the timing.

ya i knew belt and cams would have to be pulled its time for new belt anyways just didnt know how bad it was as far as gettin seats out and so on. im ganna search around for any write ups on doin them
