All models use a 5 x 114.3 mm (5 x 4.5") hub bolt pattern. Offsets in the range of 35 - 50 mm should fit - you don't normally see wide wheels with high offsets that result in big backspacing. The CX-5 uses the Mazda-standard 67.1 mm center bore diameter.

Note 1: Pirelli doesn't seem to think that the rest of the tire industry's standards for suitable wheel mounting width apply to them. There are quite a few Pirelli tires that have oddball width ranges compared to other tires of that size. I've noted where I ran across these in compiling this list, and marked sizes for which Pirelli has at least one offering with a different recommended mounting width. There are undoubtedly more, but this is just what I've run across so far.

Note 2: These sizes are somewhat questionable, but Continental's Tire Selector indicates that they're suitable fitments for a CX-5. They certainly meet the load rating requirement for the vehicle, but I'd keep an eye out for rubbing if anybody wants to try them.

Anybody who wants to put 22" wheels on their CX-5 can do their own homework - the load ratings on the tires are marginal at best, and the wheels are ridiculously heavy. I strongly recommend against it.

Thank you lee for posting the useful information. I will be ordering wheels and tires for a dedicated winter set up and will use the information you provided.

I'm trying to figure out if the stock 225/55 R19 tire will fit on a 19x8 wheel but not finding anything that will confirm this.

Do you think wheels/rims will fit with measurements of
18x8.5 HRE style wheels
With tires of 245/40/18. The bolt pattern is 5x114.3 . 3 and the center caps are 68.5

Thank you everyone this thread is awesome

Depending on the offset, the wheels should fit. You'd need an hub ring adapter to go down to Mazda's 67.1 hub bore. Also, those tire are not a safe size when compared to the OEM 225/65 R17 tires. Use a tire size calculator to find the size you want.

Looks Like I'm Going to have to buy new tires for all four wheels.
I see that
235/55R18 - 6.5-8.5

235/60R18 - 6.5-8.5

245/55R18 - 7.0-8.5

Are designated safe for my these rims. Any idea which would be the ones I should get a set of?
Which would generally last longer and improve fuel economy?

Thank you again everyone, this is my first mazda and my first time buying aftermarket rims that don't exactly fit

I went with Yokohama Parada SpecX, 235/60 R18. Total was $945 at America's Tire, including their tire replacement warranty.

I wrote about them here:

Another fitment question

Looking to lower my 2014 cx-5 GT FWD on either Cork sport or H&R springs

Want to do Corksport because it will be lower but I have already got some rims from another one of my cars that I want to put on my Cx-5

2 sets to choose from
20x8.5 with an offset of 35mm

or 20x 10 with an offset of 43mm

Can anyone tell me which will work with either corksport or h&r

Also any recommended tire sizes?

I'd recommend the H&R springs since it will not lower the vehicle as drastically, hence it will not alter its geometry as drastically.

With the 8.5" rims, go with 245/45-20 and with the 10" rims, I'd go with 255/40-20. Forget using the 10" rims with the CS springs, it will rub and damage your CX-5.

Alright thanks for the input ! :) so would the 8.5 and corksports be possible ? I would like to go lower, but H&r are fine, just curious

I wouldn't run such a low profile tire, even if I was paid good money to do it.

Maybe I'm weird but I like to run the most reliable and trouble free equipment available. Life is too short to deal with bent rims and flat tires.

Almost without fail, the cars I see on the side of the road with tire problems have low profile tires.

Who needs that?

My last car, had 40 profile tires (H&R 1.5" drop) and I have never had any issues.
This car, will use 45 profile, so it should be fine.
I will lower mine with the C/S springs and I have an Audi set, 20x9, ET42(modified by me, original it was ET40) and I'm planning to use 245/45/20 tires. There are only a few people that did this. Hopefully they will say something here.
The lower you go and the wider are the wheels, you will have to go with narrower tires(stretch), to clear the fender(maybe 235).

I'm predicting this setup with 245/45-20s will rub during the excursion of normal suspension travel. Be careful.

The CS springs 3+ inches drop is soo low and I don't think people realize how low it really is. I'd test fit before purchasing wheels or tires...

Cheers,

Hi, Im a newbie here.I was wondering is it okay if i were to use 245/55/19 tyres on the cx-5. the total diameter of the wheel will be .9 of an inch bigger than the stock 225s.
Thats about 3.3% increase in diameter.
