Is there a way to tell if you have HID lights?

EDIT: I found it. Standard HID low beams on GT.

visually, you should be able to tell the difference between a standard halogen bulb that 99% of cars have, and an HID bulb. the light is brighter, whiter (usually), and when they turn on its more of an instant-on (which you can probably see compared next to turning on a standard bulb)

Pretty sure the high beams use the same HID bulb as well. It seems to just redirect the light higher.

'12 doesn't have bi-xenons; High beam is the interior halogen bulb. I think they added bi-xenons in '13, which uses a shade-like feature that raises up when the highs are on. My Lexus has bi-xenons, but not only does it use the HID bulb, but also an interior halogen bulb in combination--not sure what the CX-9 does.
