Dimmer on the map/dome lights plus LED

I'd like to smooth out the dimming of the map/dome lights with LEDs in place. They tend to flicker/shake lightly as they dim out (for instance after you close the door.) I was thinking of wiring in a parallel resistor to add load to the circuit but part of that is dependent on the type of dimmer it is. Anyone have any info/thoughts? I haven't found the wiring diagram yet, but since there is limited room in the light housing, I was looking to tap the resistor into the circuit near the fuse box.

The circuit for the roof lights comes from the RBCM at the back of the car (NOT the front). Since this is a notoriously fragile device (people have blown it up while simply changing the trunk light bulb) I would suggest you do nothing, and live with it.
