Mazda Aluminum Foot rest

Hey Guys, just took delivery of my car this weekend and got around to installing the aluminum foot rest and realized something when placing it over..
The universal foot rest is not the correct part for our (US version left hand drive cars.)
There seems to be a manufacturing mistake where someone thought they should mirror the JDM version..

Thank you medcenter. i realized what happened with the install...the confusion was when I thought the "Mazda" Logo is supposed to be facing forward..but instead the logo is supposed to be facing down, the black backplate also has screw notches and i thought are supposed to fit into the foot rest but needs to be flipped so the notches are facing downward.
