Finally getting to the paint stage with this lip. In some ways most of this work isn't worth it because of the sh*t quality of the splitter, so i'm not spending too much time on it.. Its never going to be great, so I'm doing a half proper job. The ends had to be cut, shortened, and reattached. The general curve was stretched throughout the middle, and compressed in other areas to better fit the bumper. Mounting holes, pin-holes and other mold defects were filled and smoothed out, to an extent.
And this time I remembered adhesion promoter and flexing agent. (rules)
Base coat going on
I dropped this boost gauge a while back. Had no time, at the time, so I quickly tried to fix it..
Yeah..
Been bugging me, & had some time so I painted the extra bezel from my AEM WB and fit it to match. I'll post an interior shot soon.
Finally got to drive it
Only drove her around the block so far, but every spring it surprises me how nice it is to drive, such a difference to a 200,000km+ Protege 5.
