Will the gear set fit the 1gn na transmission. I believe its the same tranny internally as the 2nd gn mx6 and probe GT. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Any modification needed to the case to make the gears fit. Regardless add me to the list. Send payment info. Thank you mfactory. Have 2 your LSD. Now need gears.

I was under the impression the 1st gen n/a trans was the same as a 2nd gen KL trans. But then the early 90's Mazdas/Escorts 4 banger cars with G-series trannies have differeint spacing between the 2 shafts.

this is what i'm a bit confused about. In Mfactory website they list 3,4,5 shorter gear set at $799 for the Mazda 3,6,MPS..........

1st of all what is a MPS?
And 2nd, is this bulk buy for the same application Mazda 3,6,MPS? Cause I doubt a mazda 3 & 6 is same as a Probe/mx6/mx3/escort G25mr trans.
And 3rd, every1 posting in this thread seems to have a Mazdaspeed protege which does have a g25mr trans which i believe is the same as a 2.0L FSDE 2nd gen probe/mx6/626...........

    Mazdaspeed Protege.

This group buy is for mx3/mx6/probe etc. The final drives are different, however, I am uncertain whether the gears are interchangeable or not between the older and later models.

well good news is I went to mazda dealer today, compared part number for a 3rd gear set on a 1993 Mx6 and a 2003 Protégé and they are the same as you already stated.

And I already have a 3.85 final so these gears is all I need to get me to the 400hp goal.

We've had new interest, but without confirmed deposits, we cannot move ahead.
