05-07 cd player in 08 MZ5?

Hi!

Can I put a cd player from a '05 Mazda 5 in my '08 Mazda 5? Will there be any problems?

The real question is do you REALLY want to? I cannot use my 6-disc changer from my 2006 because it held all the discs hostage for 2 months and would not load, change or eject any of them. I am not the only one to report CD changer difficulties. I recommend an aftermarket setup.

Yes, I know. But I am probably going to trade in my '08 for a '10 diesel and I allready have an aftermarket stereo in my '08 that I want to keep. My original cd changer doesn't work so therefore I need to get a used cd player to replace the old broken one. Hopefully I will find a unit from a '08-10 MZ5 but there is a lot units for the 05-07 around. I have kept the faceplate of the cd from my old stereo if I need to swith it from a 05-07 unit.
