I am about to install some coilovers, but while I'm at it I would like to replace my rusty old bolts/nuts that hold the strut to the knuckles. Any idea where to find what size these are or where to find replacements?
Those are good sized bolts, I would guess M14x1.50 maybe? Don't quote me but that should be in the ballpark. Just remove one and take it to a hardware store, make sure you get true grade 8 or better.
dealer ship is best place for those, there is a picture here with all the part numbers needed. Hardware stores are great for smaller bolts but these would be worth buying OE IMO. ( i just bought all new suspension hardware at the dealer)
I agree with bikingpro5. I opted to replace the worst of them and clean up the not terrible ones rather than replace them all. Some were up to $9 or $11 each and it kind of adds up quick...
