02protege5wagon's build

looks awesome!!! paint that yourself?? i wish i had bodywork skills let me tell ya!
No, I had a friend paint it for me, I was going to do another color but decided to stick with the same color. thanks though.

Omg. Im drooling because of those rims... That white is beautiful. I was thinking of painting my rims white... but silver with white looks a little silly. Still gonna do it tho lol

Yeah it was either this color or just plain silver. I felt the white would stand out more. I have other plans though with the wheels on the color. I think it will look great but I'm keeping it a secret until I can get the extra cash to clean them up and powdercoat them.

Oh yeah!! absolutely love the look! And my car is primered at the moment... was planning on going back to original midnight blue but with gold flake.

Thanks! actually I was about to do that gold flake but I think silver flake would look better with the midnight blue. You should definitely go back to Midnight blue though or do some other color that you don't always see. I want an msp lip so bad lol, Is your MSP lip oem? Just wondering.

Nobody other than Mazda made that lip. They're all OEM lol. Honestly Lownslow, the primer doesn't look bad. Normally I hate primed cars but that's because it's all terribly done. You have a smooth, matte finish, in a pleasant color. Have you seen this thread?

The owner is a minitruck guy with some paint knowledge and skill. He used graffiti rattle cans and obtained a killer outcome

Cam unfortunately there are some people in Puerto Rico making replica MSP lips out of fiberglass .... crap product though

Ok I ordered some 12mm spacers for the front and going to move the rear out to 8mm instead of 5mm. I'll probably have to pull the rear fenders. After that I'll pull the fronts too if necessary. The car will most likely be going lower too.

In the meantime here are more pictures.

Beautiful, can never go wrong with white rims.

Do the 12mm spacers come with it's own studs? Or you have to get extended studs?

Lol yup you can never go wrong with white rims. Yeah the 12mm I bought have its own studs but most you have to get the extended studs. Its easy changing those out, I did it on my last car and it was a breeze.

Nice with 12mm I figured most of them require extended studs. I just installed 15mm spacers up front and 8mm in the rear on my stock racing harts, was looking into 12mm on the rear but I'm already getting some rubbing

Yeah I just wanted the built in studs so I wouldn't have to do all of the work to take out the old ones. Lol sounds exactly like my setup 12mm in the front and 8mm in the rear. I'll have to do a little bit more of a pull on the rear, but then again I'm running 17x8.5 +48 and in the front I'm barely missing the strut with an 8mm spacer. So 12mm will be perfect.

Posted these on facebook a week ago but I forgot to put them here. Enjoy. Oh I also have a cusco front lower tie bar coming from Japan. Won't be here for 6-8 weeks but I think it will be well worth the wait. =D
