How far do those nerf bars hang past the doors? Interested in then to help prevent door dings.

Unfortunately, not enough for any added peace of mind regarding door dings. I estimate only about an inch from the widest part of the body sheet metal.

Where the side steps or running boards help is when a door is opened. It then exposes a large area for extra footing when either entering or egressing the vehicle.

Added some DRL to the lower bumper. They also have the sequential turn signals. Love em! My baby boy Mazda looks so sexy! Now I have to do it again with my sisters red 17 CX5!

Posted this yesterday, but it seemed to disappear. Just installed DRL in the lower fog area, and some welcome lights. The turn signals are sequential. Itís a nice feature.

Yes, took the door panel off. It's the only way to get to the switch panel. The door panel was simple to take off, there are 2 screws and the rest are clips, and unhook the power cable for the switches. The switch panel took a bit to remove since I was trying to be careful and didn't know exactly how it came off. Once I figured it out, it was pretty easy.

Been contemplating getting this for a while now. All I've seen were the other types and I like the 2 strips better. They look great! Did you have to remove the bumper to install the DRLs?

Best bang for buck is a tough one - in terms of money and time/effort, the rubber door seals were effective in cutting down on wind noise, and making the doors feel and sound more premium.

I*ve cut down road noise a lot with a combination of soundproofing materials on the floor and doors, but this was fairly expansive and very labor-intensive.
I*ve also soundproofed the wings/fenders (underneath the liners) but this didn*t make a huge difference.

Next up is some anti-vibration material on the roof but I*m not looking forward to dropping the headliner...
Hey I like that additional rubber door seal idea RichardCX5, how much did you end up using? Do you think 2 of those kits you linked, ~33 feet (10m) would be enough? For the doors I'm assuming you only did the part below the bottom edge of the windows, correct?

I forget exactly but I think two kits did all four doors on the bottom and rear edges, the front of the hood/bonnet and three sides of the trunk/boot lid.
On the door rear edges I did all the way from the top of the door to the bottom.
A little tip, where where a hole on the bottom of the door/trunk lid, make sure you cut a slot in the rubber to allow water to drain away! Also make sure you clean the area really well before applying the rubber strip, preferably using alcohol of some sort to make sure thereís no grease left.

Wow. Where did you get the wrap? Or did you make it yourself?
    Great job!
