Post Pictures of Your CX-5 Mods, Upgrades and Accessories!

They were matte black

They look much nicer. Hopefully they don't scratch as easily as the OEM piano black pieces on the CX-9 (if they do, you might want to apply a coat of wax to them and keep it maintained to avoid scratches).

Agreed. That would be my concern with them. Then again $13 from China...can always switch them out!

Installed new steering wheel trim from aliexpress just like the new CX5 Exclusive trim:

New door sill protectors

Following their long passage from China, just added some inexpensive door sill protectors.

Ordered them here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned)

Nice product for the money. (Yes, the interior plastic piece needs cleaning.)
The red section is a separate part that is best attached with the provided 3M tape before installation on the vehicle.
The red is a reasonably-close match to the Soul Red Crystal paint ... a plus.
Left and right parts aren't labeled, but test fitting quickly determines which is which.
Nice fit on the vehicle and offers more coverage than the lighted Mazda door sills left in my traded '17.

Where did you get the sequential lights? I've been looking but couldn't find any that were specifically designed for the CX5. I only came across some universal strips.

I've been looking at installing these DRL/Turn Signals: for anyone else interested, here are some of my research links.

Install video:

eBay item Search:

The only "Streamer" "Sequential" turn signals I could find in a dual layer LED format were for cars without LED Fog lights in the front:

Sequential Turn signal w/ little arrows:

Forgot One "Streamer" Light:

Hope these links work, first time I have tried on this forum. When I get them I will do an install thread. I have a couple of emails out to suppliers looking for the Streamer dual layer leds.

Thanks! For the window trim I used 3M 1080 Matte Black. Matches the factory black trim pretty close. I had originally wanted to wrap the grill too, but looking at it I thought it would take way too long for me to learn the technique to do it even moderately well, so I went with Plastidip. Did about 5 coats of black and several coats of their Glossifier. I did not do the emblems on the rear as I did not want everything black. I like having a couple of pops on there, with the roof rails matching the exposed metal on the rims. I didn't really like how the roof rails and the rims were aluminum, and the moldings and grill were chrome. Here is another picture where it isn't so sunny out, which shows the black a little better.

hello, I would like to do the same as you in the front of the car, it is very difficult to disassemble the front piece to paint it? Do you have some manual to disassemble the long bezel?

Thanks, looks really nice!

Today I installed some glossy A, B, and C pillar plastic. Cost about $13 bucks from China. Think it adds a nice touch. I believe this is standard on the GT and above but I have a touring. What do you guys think?

Not for me, sorry. I can't stand shiny black plastic stuff because it scratches if you look at it wrong. I'm very glad we have matte plastic pillar trims on our 2014.

Thanks! I didn't disassemble it, I just masked it off carefully and then used PlastiDip.

Was finally able to mount my kit after all the rain weve been having. Its styled after the Kenstyle and made in Taiwan (friend was nice enough to have it shipped over for me).

Im looking into possibly bringing the kit available here if I can work out logistics.

That kit looks great. I'd love to do that to mine. What is that one called?
