2009 Mazda 5 stereo CD player removal

Help. Can anyone help me locate what's holding my stereo unit in? I have removed the two lower screws and I can see there are white tabs to pull it out at the bottom, but is there another screw somewhere holding it in? I've taken out the glove box and looked around both sides and can't see what's still holding it in.

The stereo trim, which is basically the entire silver colored surround, is held in with metal clips. Carefully pull on the entire surround, starting at the bottom edge and it should pop free. Do NOT yank only on the bottom as you can break the fascia that way. Also, be sure your console plastic is out of the way, It interferes with the fascia removal IIRC. HTH Ross

I don't think you can just pull it out, not on any car.

Well, you have to remove the two screws at the bottom (and before that some other panels), but once you've done that, like the OP has, you can just pull it out.
