Okay, got a check engine light and code P0455 (gross vacuum leak) on our 2012 Mazda 5 Sport. I erased the code and retightened the gas cap. Worked for a day, now it's back.

Time to snoop around the engine bay for a loose hose. I'm due for oil change, so I might as well have them do the snooping under warranty. Anyone else have this issue - loose vacuum hose, gas cap, charcoal canister, etc.

Can be a bad gas cap if tightning it does not help.
Another issue that crops up with that code is if you top up the gas tank after it cuts off.
If you do it all the time, you can damage the charcoal canister, if you do it, try stopping and see if that helps.

Thanks - I don't overfill so I'm hoping it's just the gas cap.

I brought the 5 in for its first oil change & tire rotation. Turns out the code 0455 was a faulty solenoid valve. Fixed under warranty.

Having this issue as well. 2012 GT. p0455 and p0456.
Changed the gas cap, cel cam back on.

OEM Solenoid valve for 2012 part# number is LF8218740
