Hello All. So I have been using a ScanGauge on my Protege for a few months now to keep track of how the car is running. Car is running great, no CEL, etc. Anyway, the ScanGauge is able to view when the car goes from open to closed loop. I have found that below 75 mph, the car is always in closed loop with no issues. When I go faster than 75 on the interstate, the car will intermittently go betwen open/closed loop. This is at 186 degree coolant temp, cruise set at 78 mph. I am not sure why it is doing this. Is this load based at higher speeds? What do you all think?
