In reading thus far, it sounds like valve stem seals are the culprit.

Car is losing oil, but no drips or leaks anywhere on the outside of the motor (unlike my Audi, but that is a different tale).

Issue has been going for a bit, but then I changed out plugs, and it was fixed. That was 5 months ago, and now it seems to be back.

I thought maybe valve cover gasket (the inner one), but when changing plugs, they came out bone dry. No oil on them.

So...what else could be letting oil into the cylinder? Are the valve stem seals the only thing left?

Lastly, what can one expect to pay for this to be done. I am mechanically inclined, and I have the service manual downloaded, but I see nothing about replacing this set of seals.

Thanks,
