What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Spring is coming so I changed the tires, put fender flares and 30mm spacer on each tire.

Next will be a yellow VMAXX sport break kit for the frontbrakes and a V8 soundmodul from Maxhaust(original for Audi SQ5) with a Maserati(Gibli) modul combined.

Have a nice one. 101

MV tuning flares?

MV tuning flares?

No they are from Russian CX-5 forum around half the price of Topline.
Good is you don't need to color them if you don't wanna. It's almost like the same original plastic structure before and short enough that even if you decide to color them you don't need to color all plasti parts on the car like with Topline flares cause they move a bit on the plastic below the door.
Otherwise it would look a bit weird if there starts the colored part of the flares on the plastic parts. People who have them or know them also know what I'm talking about.

Cheers 101

Very, very nice. Well done. Very subtle but dramatic at the same time. Nice.

Tint and yellow fogs.

35% in the front, 15% in the back.

Installed OEM mud flaps as well but no pics yet....will have to wait until it gets back from the dealer with the new transmission installed.

Finally, I have installed both front Focal speakers. Yesterday, I have installed the second one and I have realized, that something is off. I have seen a video on Youtube, about adjusting amps and a guy, used an app to check the speaker polarity(Polarity checker). That was way to cool.
I have tested it with mine, and of course that the driver side speaker, it was reversed. Now, it sounds way(!!!!) better than before.
I have also found out, that my living room home theater center speaker(I have one in the bedroom as well), it was reversed as well.

What is powering your Focals? Did you use a bass blocker?

Pulled off the Blizzaks and put the stock Toyos back on. I only put about 5K miles on them this winter. Looks like treadware on snows is still basically at 13/32.

Drove it to work in "manual shift" mode plus Sport mode. Driving it this way always is fun for me.

Do you have an AWD? When shifting manual do you stay in gear longer like the AT does or depending on your mood you shift sooner / later.
I think the D mode keeps it in gear a tad longer - so I am trying manual shifting and my shift points are always before 2000 RPM - I hope thats ok.

Washed and waxed her. This is the first time that I've been able to wax since we bought the car back in December. Damn, that titanium sure sparkles and pops in the sunshine!

I do not have AWD. In "manual shift" mode you can shift whenever you want. The ECU will protect you from improper manual shifts. For example, you can't shift into 6th gear below 50mph, the car will not allow you to. The car will also downshift for you if you forget to do so manually. The only thing to be careful about is downshifting into redline. For instance when you're on the highway, you can downshift into 3rd and I think that will put you very close to the redline. In such instance, you want to be quick about upshifting right away.

I usually shift around 2500-3000 RPM when in manual shift mode. That's also how I shift when driving the Speed3. I think shifting at 2000 RPM is fine, because like I said, if it was bad, the car will not allow you to shift at that point. Racing Beat noted that part of Mazda's fuel economy strategy is to shift at around 2,200 RPM, so you're not really far off.

Funny, I have been driving with my manual mode a lot lately too. I'm thinking I want to mod some paddle shifters in since I need to fix my steering wheel anyway...

I also shift it around 2500-3000 RPMs.

There is a "how to" on adding paddle shifters around here somewhere.

The great thing about the "manual shift" mode with the CX-5, is that on days where I'm tired from work and don't want to play around with the "manual shift" mode, I can stick it on D and it still is fun.
