Apparently 2011 and newer CX-9's come equipped with a second generation tire pressure sensor.
The new units are made by Continental.
The older units were made by Siemens. (Continental aquired VDO several years ago)
Starting the later half of 2010, the Siemens VDO SE53005 supersedes to the Continental BBM237140B TPMS sensor.
So when you order new tpms sensors for your 2010 or older CX-9, you will now get the second gen Continental sensor.
