Trans Leak

I noticed a leak coming down the front of my trans. It appears to be coming from the seal atop where the shifter goes in.
Just wondering if anyone else has had or known of this as well as how much of a procedure it is to replace. Is it merely pulling the 4 bolts and the plate off the top there and swapping it out or is there something I need to watch out for when I take it apart?

Sorry for not responding-haven't been on in a while (obviously) til now looking for confirmation on another concern arising (a loud humming type sound at 2500RPM-rumors of turbo issues)

But yes it was indeed the seal around the shift linkage that was leaking. It was like $6 at my local Mazda dealership

Does your same changed the seal?

o was a liquid, paste or sealing gauze you applied?
