The 2014 MZD6 US model has the center console media control unit. Wouldn't it be cool if they did that for the 2014 CX-5?

The diesel, well after reading about so many issues with it maybe you're lucky that when you do get it, it will be truly tried and tested.

In the UK we don't get the bottom spec model we just have SE-L (mid range) and Sport (top of range)

so my car (2.2D SE-l) is equivalent to U.S. touring model.

auto lights & wipers,
Dual-zone climate control,
SCBS,
multi-media center commander dial,
TPMS,
6 speaker touchscreen audio unit.
front and read parking sensors,
i-stop,
electric folding heated door mirrors
and alarm.

the sport adds :

bose system
leather heated seats
19" Alloys
xenon adaptive lighting

the safety pack only available on sport models adds

lane departure warning system
blind spot control
high beam control.

note: no moon roof at all in UK. Perhaps it's so wet here we're afraid of a leaking roof (rolleyes)

P.s. as for the diesel , I'm testing it now for you guys!

Yes this is the touring package but no this one does not have the bose package. Final price is 26k everything.
