Installing Hawk HPS brake pads, only one has a metal clip extender.

I received my HPS pads today and noticed on one pad only having a metal clip on the back side rivet.
Is this normal to have one specific pad to have a metal clip?

Did some research and the single clip is the wear indicator.
Anybody know what specific pad uses this?
I do not recall this in some other cars.

It goes in as one of the insides pads. Normally pad sets come with 2 pads of the 4 that have indicators, and those are installed as the inside pads. Hope that helps

Thanks kcdirtbro54.
The wear indicator on the HPS pads are pretty far.
Can this be taken of manually or forced off and still be used properly??
I dont need something to tell me my pads are low, useless just like TPMS for car people.

I haven't had Hawk pads in my hands since I put some on my Miata I had several years ago. I'm sure it's just like any other pad where you can remove the wear indicator (squealer) with a little convincing.

The Hawk HPS pads were an exact replacement to the stock as far as the wear indicator. only one on the inside driver side.
