Does anyone know where to find this part. Mine is damaged and the internet is not showing me anything. I'd prefer to not go to a dealership

Thanks

Are you asking about the caliper piston dust boot? You can find repair kit for as cheap as ~$2-3 per piston on rockauto.com, but I recommend looking up the Centric kit, which runs ~$10 a pair. I don't see it on rockauto at the moment but did see it before when I did my brakes.

Or do you mean the caliper slider pin boots that go for about $4/caliper? Look up Centric part as well.

If I'm totally off, post a pic on what you are asking.

You might find this site useful for future reference. Use the part number and start seaching rockauto and the interweb for the best price.

Btw silent....
The OP was calling it by its correct and proper name. Idk how you got dust boots from backing plate but to each its own.

LOL. The dust shield/cover crossed my mind but I guess I couldn't understand how that parts gets damaged from a brake job. Specially, I was thinking parts that my deteriorate and/or get damaged from a brake job.

@ Davicho, I never knew the proper name for that part. I've only known it as the dust cover/shield. Actually, the backing plate part made me think of the caliper piston (retracting it). Guess I'm way off, sorry about that.

Yeah just cut them out. That's what I've done on quite a few of my cars.
I'm not so sure you'd want to do that considering the elements of PA. The wheel protects the outside facing rotor well but without the cover on the backside, this exposes backside rotor to the elements like debris, repeated water splashing from the opposite wheel (bad if rotors are hot from braking), less dust on rim, etc. Overall, I do agree they are not absolutely necessary (like exhaust heat shields) but these things do have some purpose.

@ OP, I'm not sure anyone else other than Mazda can/will supply this... Good luck finding it elsewhere. There are online Mazda parts vendors that are cheaper than local Mazda dealers, including shipping.

Btw, how did you manage to damage this and exactly how is it damaged? It is a low grade piece of metal, which you can easily bend back into *roughly the same sme shape -it will not be perfect. Try clamping two pieces of used pads/wood block, or a pair of wide pliers will do.

Here's what I did to "reform" the lip on the cover to allow for the larger MS3 rotors.
