So I think it's time to share some stuff Ive been doing with my car and hopefully we can get some good conversation going on. I'm mostly into drag Racing so most of the things I do are focused on that sort of thing. As some of you know I work at a machine shop during the day and JayRacing at night so Ive been able to come up with different things to aid me in my builds. Most of the things on my car are thing that I have fabricated myself so if you see something that you have questions about about ill be happy to show and tell. This winter I'm doing an overhaul on the engine so ill try an update this as much as I can. Enjoy!

Swain Tech coated pistons, notice on the intake valve relief I notched them to aid in removing heat in that area.

Turbo set up wouldn't fit with the stock one so this rerouted things around.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a tourque plate?

What rods are you using, and what is your average 60' time?

You gotta give more info than this, turbo, exhaust, the ram air setup in the fig light, etc, what you did was give a partial blow job and then walk away.

Torque plates prevent distortion the bore undergoes when the head + gasket are torqued onto the block :)

Torque plates simulate the distortion allowing for a better hone. Prolly some finer points I don't know but essentially thats it.

Looking good so far Nate, can't wait to see the rest of the pics and info. Its nice to see big builds getting used for what they were built for

Thanks guys!

My bad man, just think of it like pausing to add drama.Any way I'm adding more pics and info now. The ram air is just a velocity stack that replaced the fog light, my intake routes down to right in front of it just like the cold air intakes do. Ill take some pics of it later my car is out at the shop.

Yup, that pretty much sums it up thanks!

Something I thought was intresting was that these togas bearing i used to run were stamped with the king bearing logo. Which after measuring that oil pump I had is are these even a " preformance" bearing or just an oem replacement? Ill be running clevites this next season and hopefully these hold up better. I wish Acl would make some bearings for this platform.
