My wife's CX-7 has a nasty yellow buildup inside. I have tried using a lens cleaning kit on the outside, but to no avail. I have switched out her lightbulb before by accessing it via the wheel well, but I am at a loss as to how I can get to the whole assembly for cleaning. Any suggestions (other than taking it to the dealer)?

You can and can't -- unless you're a
really good do it yourself shade tree
mechanic kind of guy.
It involves taking both headlight
housings out of the car, using a heat
gun, tools, glues, lots of patience, i.e.
taking them apart and replacing JUST
the lenses.
A. Not easy. Trust me, I tried it once,
was more than what I bargained for.
B. Expensive! Just finding the lens alone
is going to be expensive.
Here is why... headlights and taillights now
a days are a WHOLE UNIT replacement type
of deal. I.e. you just replace the whole thing.
Plug and play so to speak.
For that, here are some suggestions:
EBAY:

If you go the ebay route, MAKE SURE you ask /
check / and verify that the assembly is BRAND NEW!
LOTS OF JUNK YARDS SELL ON EBAY and YOU GET
WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
On-line parts place:

If you go the on-line parts place, do the same as
ebay, ASK, CHECK, VERIFY AND CEHCK THEIR
RETURN POLICY.
