There was a question about starting your CX-5 if the fob battery dies in another thread (on a different topic). This video shows how to start the car in this scenario:

It's in the manual. Touch the fob onto the start button to start the car.

Yeah I've read that part of the manual...just meant that I wanted to see it done.

Anyone know what it would cost to replace the key fob. I havn't lost one yet, but my wife has a history with this sort of thing.

I was quoted $300 from my dealer.

OOH Faa - 300.00! - also, I tried to get a key made - not electronic - just a regular metal key and Home Depot could not do it. They said they have no blank.
