UK - latest Manufactures' Reliability Table

Honda had 20 year old tech on my departed 2010 Accord. I'm talking major components (engine, trans, ect.) so the likelyhood something goes bad is low since 20 years is a lot of time to work out kinks.

A car like the CX-5 where its engine, chassis, trans, ect. were mere blueprints ony 3-4 years ago may come have some issues but yet to hear of anything yet.

Personally I have no interest in owning a car with 20 year old technology. The better automakers can do proper durabilitly/quality/reliability testing before first customer shipment of newly designed models. I'm impressed with what Mazda has done with the CX-5, the early ownership experience is similar to my Lexus IS (a 2007 model, being the 2nd year of a new gen model).

This is a 2012 survey, but what year are the cars surveyed? If the average 50K miles, then they are all at least 4-5 years old (for UK). So this is about the cars made 4-5 years ago, which does not necessarily predict how current cars would do.
