I finally began an upgrade of my Mazdaspeed 3 this year. To date I've installed all new door speakers, two amps, and a sub, power wiring, sound deadening in the doors. It is a completely stealth install powered off the stock head unit, minus the Diamond Audio tweets in the doors. Sound is crystal clear and loud!
I still need more pics but here are some starters.

System Specs:
- Pioneer GM-D9500F 4-channel amp with high power inputs and sub output, class D digital amp produces 4x75wRMS into 4 ohms or 4x100wRMS into 2 ohms
- Diamond Audio 5x7 2-way separates with aluminum dome tweets, crossovers in the door.
- Infinity reference 5x7 mid/tweet speakers for rear fill
- Hifonics 1500HD amplifier 1x1500 watt class D amplifier is 1 ohm stable @ 1500wRMS, 4 ohm stable at 500wRMS, 2 ohm stable at 1000wRMS.
- JBL DirectDrive GTi12 sub in single sealed enclosure (Dual 6-ohm voice coils, 3 ohm load)

It was a very straightforward install and I have to admit the class D amps are so much more efficient that the power produces is disproportionate to the amount of heat generated in the amps. Meaning, compared to old Class A/B amps these are smaller and produce the same or more power with less heat. I was able to fit an amp under each seat with room to spare leaving everything alone in the trunk.
