Went to my local wheel shop for a new set of wheels and tires and he recommended me some ohtsu fp7000 tires for 100 ea. On sale. Never heard of them and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them? Originally I was looking at fallen 912 but they are about $30 more for each tire. Seems like a good tire, guy said nice rain tire which is great. Since I live in Vancouver. 215 45 17.

Thanks.

Seems to be the answer I get most. They look decent for the price. Also considering its a dd I am not looking for anything to aggressive. What's life without mystery?

What kind of tread life you expect out of them? Do they perform any better or worse than something you have had in the past.

tread life is pretty good so far. I've had them for like two years and they still look brand new. performance is fairly decent as well. Better than the stock dunlops but they are nothing compared to pirellis or yokos

Have you tried discount tire direct?

http://www.discounttiredirect.com

They have free shipping to Canada and have the Kumho ASTs for $75 per tire (215/40/17 which is closer to stock size than 215/45/17). But they also have some 215/45/17 sizes from Hankook and Falken for $78 - $80.

Discount tire is the only place I go for tires amazing service usually got my tires within two to three business days

For another somewhat unknown name brand, Ive been looking into Achilles tires, never heard of em myself, but seem to get good ratings and very reasonably priced... my Toyo's are almost worn out

I got these tires from Walmart for $43 each.

I've got no complaints. I've had them on my car for about a year and a half. I think I have around 40k miles on them, still have a ton of tread and ride great. great against hydroplaning (we get a lot of HEAVY rain in the south). For around $200 installed for all 4 tires I don't think you can go wrong.
