So its looking like the Miata is going to be needing a clutch and possibly pressure plate. 2 questions... Is it common to get a new pressure plate with the clutch? And also, for the flywheel, would you recomend replacing, re-surfacing, or just re-installing it as is with new clutch? Car is 91 with 52k orig miles and has had a little slipping feel.

Looking in possibly getting this, or just OEM replacement.

This is the same clutch kit I used in my 1990. It performed great and install was super easy. My flywheel was cracked and had severe hot spots so I just ended up replacing it with a new unit from NAPA.
I believe the cost for that was in the neighborhood of $75. Usually resurfacing is less expensive and will work just fine. I also know there are several lightweight flywheels on the market, which you may want to take a look at.(headbang)
