Monroe struts/shocks vs. KYB

I am a little reluctant to ask this but has anyone tried the Monroe for the CX-9? I have never been a fan of monroe and rather have KYB which I believe is OEM. But anyone try them?
 
my sis had monroes(sears) on her Jetta Wagon. they were cheap. I wouldn't want them on my CX. KYB is OEM and what I'll use when the time comes.
 
when you say cheaper, do you mean that you got them at the dealership cheaper than buying them elsewhere? if you got them somewhere else where did you go? also what is the part number for them and how much where they. All info would be greatly appreciated.
