Show me your CX-5 wheels

First post. Showing off my new rims/tires.

Motegi MR116 17x7 +40
Continental Terraincontact A/T 245/65R17

I was originally going to get a different set of tires. Either Yokohama G015 or Kumho AT51. But at the last second, I switched to the Continental when I saw it is the #1 rated On/Off road tire on TireRack AND it has the best treadwear rating of the the tires I was considering.

Those wheels do look awesome on your car. I really like that colour combo. Too bad Im in a different country on the other side of the world!

Ive recently taken delivery of a 2019 CX-5 GT Turbo in Soul Red and will be transferring the 20 wheels from my previous-gen CX-5 onto the new one in the next couple of days. The pizza wheels will be going onto the old car and then Ill be selling it. Hopefully it doesnt look too terrible or it will be a hard sell!

Ive also purchased an Eibach Pro Kit for the new one and will be getting that fitted at the same time as the wheels. Will post pics when its done. Im looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

Will post pics when its done.

Got my wheels and springs fitted and Im very happy with how it has turned out. Wheels are a staggered fitment off my old car in size 20x8.5 +35 (front) and 20x9.5 +45 (rear) with 245/45r20 and 275/40r20 tyres. Ride quality is surprisingly good. It feel slightly more pillowy than the standard setup over small bumps due to the progressive rate springs, while sitting very flat through corners.

Thanks guys, I do like the more aggressive stance, especially from the rear. It almost reminds me of the Mercedes GLE Coupe, which is not a bad thing in my eyes!

That looks great! Nice setup.

That Merc is ugly. Yours looks way better.
Man you guys have very tiny plates, down there.

I also prefer the clean and sharp lines of the CX-5, but theres no denying that the Merc has striking road presence.

I have a custom number plate. The standard ones are a bit bigger and have 6 digits.

275 fits that well? I have 20x9.25xET35 at all four corners.

275 with a +35 offset might protrude too much. Im already pushing the limit with a +45 offset. Having said that, theres a CX-5 on Instagram with 275s all round riding on Nissan GTR wheels with a +25 offset! See @kunny921

Good thanks I like your setup. I am trying to understand why most tire specs on this thread are going with 245 and not more towards 255-275. Is it because most are looking to stay closer to stock tire specs? Is the ride too rough? That said I am picking up my 255/45/20 setup from the shop shortly, I guess I will see for myself what the ride is like.

I originally was planning on going 265/45/20 but ended up staying more conservative due to potential fitment issues.

I think the main reason people tend to go with 245/45/20 is that its closest to the overall diameter of the standard setup. Having said that, I would probably go with 255/45/20 if I was going with the same size all round because they would look a bit more substantial inside the wheel arches compared with 245s.

Good Thanks: Your setup is probably the best I've seen yet. LUV IT! I wish I could pull this off with mine but in reference to Aces72Aces' question about sizing, the standard engine doesn't have enough power to support such a powerful stance. I love the look but don't love the thought of my tiny Skyactive screaming to get the vehicle moving. Maybe there's a turbo in my future. Also, I'd like to know how the staggered setup handles in the wet. Please report back in a few weeks.
