Hi from OZ!

Hey guys and Girls.
just a basic rundown of myself and my Pro5 (SP20)

Been a member on here for a while, but never posted much.
Am a frequent member on astina gt (BG1.8SP) and also lurk around OZmazda

Bit of background about me, am 18 and currently an apprentice electrician for Toshiba,
Live out in Sydney, Australia.
And have basically lived on cars and motorbikes ever since I was a kid... Took part in my first engine rebuild at 8years of age (the tool boy) basically had the car bug since.

Basically a weekend mechanic
, doing plenty of work on and maintaining dads 300zx twin turbo, brothers 300Zx non turbo, brothers Evo 8 MR, brothers liberty spec b GT, and a family friends 180sx (brother also use to own a 180sx too.
All cars modded with all done work by us

First car I had was a 91 BG 323 1.8L DOCH, body was really rough on it, so did all the panel work and respray myself,
Owned if for about 3 years

And about 6 months ago I picked up my 2001 BJII SP20 with 120000km's on the clock and have already racked it up to 143000.
Car was bone stock when I got it.

Mods list so far:
Pulled apart headlights, painted inserts black.
Auto exe grill (black) with mazdaspeed badge
Auto exe ram air intake (K&N typhoon pod in carbon surround)
KYB Excel G shocks (front and rear)
Auto exe progressive rate lowered springs (30mm drop)
Mazda speed MST-II rims (made by RAYS)
18x7.5 (+50) - wrapped in federal 595 - 215.35.18
Stainles steel braided Clutch line

Future plans:
Removing SP20 decals (This weekend)
Removing black door strips (same time as decals)
Rear sway bar
Front strut brace
Rear strut brace
Aftermarket LCA's (probably auto exe)
Aftermarket trailing arms
Sway bar end links (front and rear)
LCA brace
Mazda 6 297mm front brake upgrade
slotted rotors all round
braided lines all round
Driver and passenger Recaros (probably Evo ones)

And possible engine swap at en of the year... All depending on how my other track car build goes
Am basically set on the 2.5L V6 KLZE swap.
Only time will tell I guess

can i have your tail lights??

Nope. They are just stock ones anyway.
Actually that reminds me.....
Also going to customise the tail lights a bit.
Going to use the bottom section of the light (which is just a giant reflector) and drill a hole in the back of it and put a globe inside the bottom section.
That way the top and bottom Wil light up as parkers and brakes

its hard to find your stock lights here in the US. ive been looking for them everywhere!

well, what can I say... other than its been far to long since I have updated this

at the time of posting this was the future plans:

Future plans:
Removing SP20 decals (This weekend) - DONE
Removing black door strips (same time as decals) - Can't do until respray (rear right door was previously repainted and when i began to remove the strip it pulled up the paint)
Rear sway bar - DONE - Custom made Wholesale Suspension rear sway bar
Front strut brace - DONE - Carbing Alloy
Rear strut brace - DONE - Custom made rear strut brace
Aftermarket LCA's (probably auto exe) - Not happening
Aftermarket trailing arms - Not happening
Sway bar end links (front and rear) - Got my AAC endlinks last week (front and rear)
LCA brace - receiving my CUSCO LCA brace this week
Mazda 6 297mm front brake upgrade - DONE- did the swap a souple of weeks ago, went with the 2010 mazda 6 brakes.

Driver and passenger Recaros (probably Evo ones) - just picked up a drivers side rail (finally) getting hard to find!

- New LCA balljoints
- New Tie Rod ends
- New Rack ends
- new Wheel bearings all round

The above will be done once i get back from my month holiday to the US of A

The next mod is supposed to be a respray. But we will see I guess

Future mods from now:
- Slotted rotors + braided lines
- Do all my bushes
- mabey Mazdaspeed LSD
- Recaros
- Respray
- roof lining and pillars to be Black
- redline shift boot, handbrake boot, arm rest cover
- possible mazda 6 rear brake upgrade
- coilovers
- the onto the POWERRRRR lol

Welcome aboard. Same username here and on astina gt but not on there often. Nice ride, diggin the tail light trims and especially those wheels.

Tbh im not really here often either, always on AGT tho. It's nice to have a look at what's goin on over in the states tho

With the taillights wasn't sure if when I did the respray to keep them black or to colour code them. Will see I suppose.
And thanks... After 9months or so I still look at the rims and say "yep... Still love them" and can be almost certain I wont see another set of these babies in Sydney.

Nice build. I love those rims. I want rims like that so bad. But they cost more than my wife grief is worth to me
