What did you pay for your CX-5?

Could I please get your advice on this? Is me offering $26.5 out the door ( I pay my on taxes on top of that) for a 2017 GT FWD white on white reasonable? I emailed one dealer so far with this offer and I did not get a response. I would like to get a good deal on a “leftover” 2017. If this is out of line then I will look for a slightly used 2017.

Out the door pricing? No.

Out the door at that price. I don't think you'll find that. Even if they discount it with various promos or discounts by using stuff like Costo auto purchase program, truecar.com, Mazda loyalty etc.

After Tax, Title, and licensing your going to get a out the door price around $28,500 ish to close to $30K. It depends on your state tax sales % and also keep in my mind the new tax laws raised prices on registration which started yesterday.

That's why the finance officer when I went back yesterday to get rid of the KARR security system and GAP coverage said "Yeah a lot of people last Sat & Sun were coming in and trying to close deals on the 2017 left overs before the New Year hit". I of course took that with a big grain of salt.

The same financial officer reluctantly and first did not to want re write and re do my contract minus the security system and gap coverage. It almost got to the point of me literally saying "Here are the keys and take the car back while you shred my old contract".

Hey, Barbarian! 26K and you get a Commander Knob. [emoji23]
Eric, dude, periods much? LOL
Good luck.

Sounds pretty hopeful...I bought a 2017 grey GT FWD in FL a couple days ago after shopping 4 dealerships. $26.5 was the lowest price I could get before taxes/dealer fee for about~$29.6 out the door (they did throw in a cargo cover and all weather mats at least). I tried to get a lightly used one first at another dealership (loaner car, 6,000 miles) but they actually wanted more for that than the new.

Could you PM your sales contract to me? So $26.5 plus taxes is feasible then.

Here in MO I pay sales taxes at a later date so I thought a $26.5 out the door would be good plus taxes on my own later.

I got an offer from a dealer for 2016 cx5 , 20500 miles , touring with bose and moonroof package, meteor grey, AWD, for $19200 before title and tax. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the info man! Really appreciate it!

Chicago area here. I bought my CX5 late November through Costco. The no haggle savings was 11.3% discount and the sales guy couldn’t have been more easy to deal with. I called, he sent an email quote, I showed up and drove out without added nonsense. They stored my TDI - VW buyback for 6 weeks.
Just picked up a cargo cover and locking lugs with a Costco voucher for half price service or accessory coupon with a savings of up to $200.
Overall a decent experience.

If anyone bought a vehicle from Frema Mazda and used my info would you please send me a message or post a reply with your name. Thanks, Carl

What was MSRP and what was it with the costco discount? 2017?

I just got this quote from a local MO dealer for a 2017 CX5 GT FWD white on white (no extra package). What do you guys think?

$30,535.00 MSRP
$29,300.00 Preferred Internet Price
$1,250.00 Rebates / Incentives
$199.00 Dealer Admin Fee
$28,249.00 Financed Amount

Interesting... aside from the other warranties and protection on what I took from the dealership and the damn high tax in Canada, I'd say we have a better deal up here. Though I am very jealous of the 3 accessories that US have that we Canucks don't ... Rear Parking sensor, Illuminated Doorsill and Interior Lighting X_X ... I'd trade my other accesories for these 3.

<a href="https://ibb.co/ixKSsR"><img src="https://preview.ibb.co/g9Jyz6/Comparison.jpg" alt="Comparison" border="0"></a>

*PS, I have added the accessories to check if I was buying the CX5 2018 from US instead from Canada because I would try to get the same package.

2017 GT premium sonic silver
MSRP. $33,464
Cost $29,682 + TTS
11.3 % discount
No delivery or dealer extras.

One time, 50 % coupon up to $200 savings (max $400 accessories or service) up to 6 months.
Then, 15% off accessories or service, not sure how long this deal continues but I think it doesn’t expire - this offer is for any brand at the Costco Auto website.

You got a good deal - but it appears dealer dependent. I saw nothing on the costco site offering me any set discount. I may try it next time, but the costco affiliated dealer, was the one i had already visited and they were $2k higher then others and said that was as low as they could guy - they would never have gone as low as you got.

Indecently , I tried to buy the same cx5 MY 2016.5 in February ‘17 and the same dealer / salesman quoted $2000 less of discount.
Must be incentive dependent. Register on the Costco site and call suggested dealer, give Costco membership # and see if that makes a difference.

Best of luck.
