What did you pay for your CX-5?

Forgot to post my actual purchase price. Bought a 2016 Grand Touring with the technology package for $29,900 before taxes and other smaller fees.

MSRP was $30,925. Got mine for $29499 (AWD GT) with dealer installed nav. I also got him to throw in the crossbars for the roof rails which were already on the car. I'll get the nav and crossbars when they come in. Replacing a 2014 that I rolled trying to avoid a deer on snow-covered roads. I walked away virtually unscathed from the totaled car. Roof pillars held up well.

I have no idea why this image is upside down. It's right-side up when I go to the address: http://www.personal.psu.edu/pzb4/images/cx5_new.JPG

Hi everyone! Glad to be here as a brand new/first-time Mazda owner.

I purchased a new 2016.5 FWD CX5 Touring in Deep Crystal Blue with roof rails, all weather mats, and navigation thrown in. I do not have the tech package nor the moonroof package (didnt want the moonroof due to loss of headroom)

Total MSRP: 26,115
I paid: 24K plus tax and title for
Sales Tax: 8%
Total Fees: 375
OTD price of 26,300

Does this seem like a solid deal? Looking at truecar and KBB I thought I got a great price, but reading through this forum it seems like I left about $500 on the table.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

BTW: I love the car so far, just finished scotchgarding the seats.

Congrats on coming out virtually unscathed! That would not have been the case before cars were improved via crash testing and better engineering.

No winter tires? Likely could have avoided this expensive roll-over.

Did you see or smell any leaking fuel post crash? How full was your fuel tank. Did the airbags deploy? Did you miss the deer?

If it's the 2016.5 that you purchased then it should have heated seats and navi already included. It sounds like you paid for the roof rails (with crossbars?) and the all weather mats. Did it come with other accessories? It's still a good price.

After the 24K price was agreed I got the roof rails and cargo thrown in. It is the 2016.5 so yes heated seats and navi. No other accessories to speak off other than some silly Mazda key chain.

Also, I just noticed the guy didnt even set my tire pressure warning system or fill out the info in the warranty book

Ditto here. I didn't have the tire pressure warning issue but did feel they were eager to close the sale and send me on my merry way so they can move on to the next appointment. They quickly described the other material that came with the owner's manual, didn't go through that checklist that they have for when they give the car to you. They did set up my bluetooth and navigation. It's been a while since I bought a car (my last car lasted me 10 years until I got rear-ended) so I don't know what to expect anymore.

I just hope this car lasts me just as long with no major issues... crossing my fingers, knock on wood, etc.

Hi All

New probable Cx5 owner here
I am all due to sign a 2016.5 Red Touring FWD with the Bose Audio and the tech packages installed with Roof rails.
The dealer quoted me a internet price of 25400 if I go with their Chase finance.

Do you guys think this is a good deal?

I am using these tools to get pricing estimates, which are supposedly based on recent car sales:
http://www.edmunds.com/mazda/cx-5/2016/
https://www.truecar.com/#/search

Edmunds also has a pricing thread: http://forums.edmunds.com/discussio...cx-5-prices-paid-and-buying-experience#latest

other pricing threads:
http://www.mazdaforum.com/forum/mazda-cx-5-54/good-price-no-36423/
http://www.mazdaforum.com/forum/maz...finally-lower-than-invoice-price-35269/page2/

Please be so kind to post links to forums or other sources of posted price quotes or deals on the 2016/2016.5 cx-5.
thnx

I'm also pricing a CX-5. Here are all the quotes I received so far.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1U5kLHE-XK50q_szKAhgc9GhYLele-6osJnaKiHs4oIE/edit?usp=sharing

The sale price includes the destination fee and any other fees added before sales taxes are calculated. All other fees (added after taxes) are itemized for each quote because they vary quite a bit from dealer to dealer (in the same state). Each quote is for a CX-5 GT AWD with tech and i-activsense (vin included). The other accessories (stuff I don't need or want) are also listed for each car. The cars with the most extra stuff were not the most expensive. It looks like I will be paying 31,397 (sale)/ 34,626.29 (OTD) in New Jersey. I will update this when I actually get the car.

Beware of the loan origination fee if you are going to apply for Mazda's 0% financing (available until the end of the month). These fees can vary a lot from dealer to dealer. I am taking my bank's loan offer with me to use if the dealer tries to charge a high origination fee for the 0% loan.

Mariana, did you go through Edmunds or TrueCar to get contact information from the dealers that you talked to? Or did you just contact their internet sales dept?

MAariana, Thnx

If I were you, i would check edmunds price tmv estimate (seems accurate in our region) to use as a negotiation point.

Yes we are shopping for same options but not AWD; our price quote is v. close to yours.
I have not gathered many quotes so I am going to look around a bit more.

Recent sales price quote of $31350 for a GT not awd w/ tech & iactive (not red) in CA (car not in inventory; would need to be ordered in). No other high dealer fees.

This quote is v. close to the edmunds tmv estimate ($31363) for our region.

Dealer inventory:

seems more accurate than mazdas own site below
https://www.cars.com/

does not seem to agree with individual dealer websites inventory in some cases
http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/vlResults.action?vehicleCode=CX5

Yes our credit union charges no loan origination fee lol.

AWD or not? Even if so, it's still a $1k over priced, and several more hundred than that if you push the issue...good luck.

Picked up a 2016.5 CX-5 FWD GT with Tech this weekend for 28,250 (including $250 college grad discount). I am very happy with my deal and I am glad it came with no other add ons.

Good luck. No way I could pay that, though. Hopefully you don't either, and report back to us with your findings.
